And because Jimm couldn’t quite understand how I was relating the CPS limits on classroom sizes with the CPS Space Utilization Formula, I need to park this here for him as it relates to the concepts in math called “substitution” and “conditional statements“. (I’m sure Jimm is familiar, I’m just linking to the definition for other curious CPS parents.)
The main problem with CPS’ Space Utilization formula is that CPS is using the Total # of Homerooms x ~30 students per homeroom as THE MID-POINT OF THE EFFICIENCY RANGE (Ideal Enrollment) versus the MAXIMUM OF THE EFFICIENCY RANGE.
Thus. overstating under-utilization.
